We have opportunities for highly motivated, creative, and self-driven Welders to join our Manufacturing Team.

The Welding position interprets engineering drawings, prepares components for welding, and operates a variety of welding and weld cleaning equipment to produce the desired welded parts for industrial bakery equipment. Welders work with engineering and manufacturing management to ensure the functionality of component parts on the machine, assembles components, assembles machines and sub assemblies, and performs a variety of hand and machine-assisted function necessary to fabricate and weld metal parts and assemble industrial bakery systems.

Reading Bakery Systems is seeking Mechanical Designers.

The responsibilities include the application of sound engineering practices in the design of custom machinery for the food industry. The successful candidate would possess the ability to analytically solve specific design requirements, be proficient with 3D CAD and have experience working with GD&T. They should maintain a high level of proficiency with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures. Will need to rely on extensive knowledge, experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals. 

Qualified candidates should possess an Associates or Bachelors degree in Engineering. Must have good communication and organizational skills.

We are looking for highly-skilled individuals based in our Robesonia, PA facility to install bakery equipment and provide electrical/mechanical equipment repair services to our customers, worldwide. Our field service technicians travel extensively — domestically and internationally. They should be proficient in mechanical and industrial electrical maintenance, Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC troubleshooting and experience with AC drives. Experience in cookie, cracker, pretzel and other baked snack equipment is a plus.

Reading Bakery Systems is looking for Electrical Designers to support the electrical designs for new and existing machinery and bakery equipment. 

The Electrical Designer interfaces with Reading Bakery Systems Sales Department, Manufacturing, Service and Mechanical Designers. The designer creates detailed electrical schematics utilizing AutoCAD software to support assigned projects and ensures drawings are completed to the required engineering and manufacturing specifications. A 4-year technical degree or a two year associates degree in electrical design from a trade school or equivalent training and/or experience as an assistant electrical engineer is required. Preferred experience in control systems design, but not required.                                                      

We are looking for an Automation Engineer who will be responsible for the overall design of the control systems to Reading Bakery Systems´ machinery. Duties include specifying the components and equipment needed to complete the system, programming and interfacing of the equipment, assist/troubleshoot the assembly process and startup/debug of the control system and overall machine. The position also requires implementation of material and cost reduction measures as well as documentation of the operating process. This position interfaces with Reading Bakery Systems sales department, manufacturing, service, as well as customers to support the equipment and engineering efforts. 

• Travel 30% per year onsite to customer locations to implement, maintain, and upgrade software/hardware
• Design and program machine control systems using PLC/HMI solutions
• Simulate, test, and debug machine control systems in-house
• Check out and commission systems at the end user facilities

A two-year Associates Degree in an Electrical/Technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience in the electrical field

A Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering Field — preferred

Minimum of three years experience in control systems design

Reading Bakery Systems is seeking a motivated entry-level or early career Technician with an interest in food manufacturing, R&D, process development, product development, and/or continuous improvement. The Associate Process Technologist will primarily assist in preparing for and conducting trials at the Science and Innovation Center. Other duties include traveling to customer sites to oversee the commissioning of production systems, in addition to providing process support by training and problem solving with others.

A successful applicant will be mechanically inclined, a team player, solution-focused, excellent communicator, and willing to think outside the box to implement new tools and strategies throughout the organization.
